Welcome to one of the finest pubs on the Norfolk Broads... The White Horse has been at the heart of Upton since 1872 and over the years, little has changed. The White Horse has managed to retain all of its unique rustic charm and character.


 


Winkles Wine Bar...

Known locally as 'Winkles Wine Bar' - the landlord, Winkle, has kept the White Horse since 1972. During this time, Winkle has always aimed to provide 'good' food and 'good' beer - providing home cooked food 7 days a week and a range of beers that include Adnams, Green King, Woodfords, Wolf Breweries and Tetleys, to name a few. We also serve tea and coffee, day and evening.

"Fish so fresh, they'll eat the chips off your plate !"

These are the words of a White Horse regular who is pretty enthusiastic about our Friday Fish and Chip Special. It's easy to understand, as our chef gets up early on a Friday to travel to the Lowestoft fish warf to choose the best fish available, then travels back to cook it to perfection.
